Coromandel Earth Lab

The project is an artist’s studio located adjacent to a lake in Kolar. The building is constructed with folded masonry walls. This strategy not only increases the structural capability of the walls to support a full-fledged terrace garden but creates niches which are used as storage spaces on the inside. The terrace garden and the building are covered with light outer skin to shade the building and the plants.
