Our proposal for a multipurpose hall in Kundapur, a coastal city of Karnataka is a large open plan structure resembling a shell. The structure was optimized with a diagrid steel framework. constant ventilation happening through a large crescent North-Light. The structure sits on a podium with a waterbody on all sides, which also doubles up as a rainwater tank. With a multitude of lighting and spatial configurations, the hall could be utilized for various events such as marriages, sports, exhibitions, music concerts etc.
